Herbert J. Nevyas, M.D., Founder and Emeritus Director of Nevyas Eye Associates and Delaware Valley Laser Surgery Institute,a Cataract & Lens Implant Surgeon in greater Philadelphia whose career has spanned over 50 years of providing medical, laser & surgical eye care including cataract surgery & lens implants and other eye surgery procedures including corneal transplants, glaucoma surgery and YAG Laser Surgery. Dr. Nevyas earned his Medical Degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine where he was awarded the Oliver Memorial Prize in Ophthalmology and then completed postgraduate training in ophthalmology at the Institute of Ophthalmology of the University of London and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

An innovator in eye surgery, Dr. Nevyas has been awarded a number of patents for instruments and techniques now used worldwide by eye surgeons. He has delivered many papers on cataract, glaucoma and refractive surgery, including a number of award-winning presentations. He has authored more than 40 ophthalmic publications for major eye care journals. Dr. Nevyas is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a founding member of the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
